SENIOR GUIDANCE NEWS: Letter #6 - 1/5/04

HAPPY NEW YEAR to each of you! This is not just a new year but a sad beginning of 2004 with the loss of senior and friend, Logan Satterly. He will be greatly missed and thought of quite often by the Class of 2004. Let's continue to encourage each other and be thoughtful in our daily lives.

I hope you have registered for the Feb 7, 2004 ACT college entrance test .that is if you have NOT taken it OR you want to improve your composite score. Colleges want an 19-20 composite score or higher as an indicator of YOUR academic success on their campus. Please see me for help and/or your goal for this important task SOON if your score is less than 19 (ACT composite score).

WWW.FASTWEB.COM- your scholarship database source of opportunities for free money. I hope that you are continuing to view those applications on your home PC and applying BEFORE the scholarship deadlines.

There will be a senior class assembly on Tuesday, 1/27/04 during 4 th block in the auditorium---- put this in your agenda! Make plans to attend!

The SR Financial Aid Parent Meeting will be Thursday, Jan 15 at 6:30 p.m . in the AHS auditorium. Please remind your parent(s)! It's very important for them to attend to get help with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
