This course is a survey of political, social, cultural,
and economic aspects of United States history from 1865
to the present. US History is a graduation requirement
for all students.
WORLD CIVILIZATION

This course follows a chronological survey of World
Civilization from 1500-present using a variety of tools
including primary and secondary sources, data, and artifacts.
This chronological perspective helps the students develop
an understanding of the importance of eras in World
Civilization and recognizes cause-and-effect relationships,
multiple causation, and the role of individuals and
groups, social, political, economic, and geographic
characteristics of each era. World Civilization is a
graduation requirement for all students.
