1865 to the present. US History is a graduation requirement
for all students.

This course is meant to afford students an opportunity
for a more in-depth study of one of the most significant
events in the history of the United States. The course
will examine the causes of the war beginning with
the founding of the English colonies and continuing
through the 1850's. Then, the conduct of the war will
be examined both in terms of military and civilian
arenas. Finally, the lasting effects of the war in
terms of the government, the society and the economy
will be studied
