The misunderstood,
stand alone

Take a look around school, and you might
notice many different kind of people. Their differences
may be few or they may be many. But does the fact that
someone is different from you give you the right to ostrasize
them. The answer is NO!
Those students who go to this school,
who have a style that is obviously a little different
from everyone elses, do not deserve your ridicule. They
have done nothing to you, all they have done is become
an individual. For some out there it wouldn't hurt to
try to be a little more unique themselves. The certain
styles in this school seem to define us as one thing
or another. That isn't a fair or good judgement of who
someone really is.
This has all of its different little cliques
who have their own little judgements on other cliques.
For example, in the eyes of the so called "punks", "preps" are
the kids with the best in life. They're all rich, have
loving parents that will do everything for them, and
etc. But the "preps" have the same judgement
of "punks". They see "punks" as all
skaters and rockers, when in all honesty, people whom
believe themselves to be so called "punks" aren't.
They are most likely semi-talented grunges. If you are
in fact a "punk", most likely you won't call
yourself one. You'll more then likely say, "Well
these guys or these girls say I am, so yeah." (Punk
lingo may sometimes be preceived as stupidity, its not.
It's pure genius, if you don't act smart and people won't
expect brilliance from you.)
Then we have our ever so busy bodies and
slackers. Two of my favorite cliques, whom are so much
a like and don't even realize it are the busy bodies
and slackers. Busy bodies work harder then anyone, always
doing homework or studying, week day and week end, while
your average slacker spends every waking moment trying
to get out of spending all their time doing homework
and studying, I guess they don't realize they put more
work into not doing it than actually if they did the
work and just got it over with. If slackers put as much
effort into their work as they put into not doing it,
they'd be the smartest students in the history of school.
As we move on in the assortment of cliques
we come to Emo's and Goths. Do not mistake Emo's with
the ever popular Seasame Street character Elmo, they
are in no ways the same. Emo's are a musical and very
emotional group of people. They spend most of there time
expressing themselves in many different kind of ways,
through art, writing, song, or acting. They let their
emotions out, hence why there called Emo's. Then you
have your goths, people confuse goths with about every
group except preps. Goths are not punks, they don't skate,
Goths are not grunges, they don't claim there something
that there not, and Goths are not even Emos. Goths are
very angry people with a lot to say, and have a different
kinda of way of saying it, thats all. But in all we all
shouldn't judge our fellow class mates.
