Scheduling process
begins

For all incoming Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores,
the scheduling process began on February 2nd. Students
kicked off scheduling by having a class meeting in the
auditorium. Incoming Seniors met during 1st period, incoming
Juniors met during 2nd period, and incoming Sophomores
met during 4th period. At the assembly, each student
recieved a Curriculum Guide, which has a list and details
about all the classes and more important information
needed during the scheduling process.
This year all students must schedule online.
Go to the AHS Website www.ahs.dcps.org and then click
on the icon Online Registration. Then just simply fill
out the information from then on. Online you can also
view all the classes for each current grade that are
available for the next school year.
On February 5th, Mr. Purcell and Mr. Taylor
will be visiting College View Middle School to discuss
scheduling with the 8th graders. They will also be doing
the same on February 6th at Burns Middle School. On February 8th, there will
be an important meeting for incoming freshman and parents at 2:00 p.m. in
the auditorium.
On February 19th, there will be a CAP Group meeting to go over scheduling
and make sure all students are beginning the process. Incoming freshman from
both schools will be coming to visit and eat lunch here at Apollo on February
18th. The scheduling process therefore will begin for the incoming freshman
on February 18th.
On February 24th, 26th, and 29th the Apollo
Library will be open for all incoming freshman to schdeule
and have some assistance while doing so.
In scheduling all students must make sure
they make appropriate decisions, because, when the 2004-2005
school year begins there will be no scheduling changes.
All schedules must be completed by March 14th.
