Dear Educator:

This fall, one of your students could be selected to win a $100,000 scholarship and a walk-on role on NBC's American Dreams in Hollywood as part of the American Dream: Exploring the Possibilities program. Plus, you could win $15,000 worth of Campbell's Labels for Education(TM) bonus labels to get free stuff for your school.

Here's how to enter

1. Encourage students to write a 250-500 word essay based on the topic: How does your American dream compare to that of your parents?

2. Visit http://www.scholastic.com/americandream or http://www.campbellsdreams.com for the official entry form and complete contest rules.

3. Entries must be postmarked or e-mailed by November 30, 2004.

About the Program

The American Dream: Exploring the Possibilities program http://www.scholastic.com/americandream, developed by Scholastic Inc. and generously sponsored by Campbell's(R) Tomato Soup, can help your students prepare for the future by examining the past. This special program is a free national standards-based program that explores the important historical events of the 1960s and the meaning of the American dream.

About American Dreams

In its third season on NBC, American Dreams (Sundays, 8/7c) is a drama that depicts the American landscape as seen through the youthful Pryor family of Philadelphia as they brace for the cultural turbulence of the 1960s that still resonate today.
