Happy Holidays to All of You----
You are about to finish the first semester of your junior year. Spend time in preparing for your finals and possibly bring your grade up in a particular class.
A couple of items:
The Governor’s Scholars Program application is due December 10th to Jan Young in the guidance office. Two meetings were held to explain the program and if you were unable to attend and you are interested, see Ms. Jan Young ASAP.
December 2nd – There will be an ACT practice session on a computer. This is a new program that Apollo recently purchased and specific testing areas will be reviewed. The ACT practice session can be accessed at your home as well. See Jan Young for details.
December 9th---Another Career Interest Exploration session. This will take approximately 45 minutes. If you are exploring careers, this is a great website to review at your home as well.
The Governor’s School for the Arts application is now available in the guidance office and if you are interested, stop by the guidance office. You are responsible to mail this application in yourself. The application must be turned in by December 29, 2004 and YOU MAIL IT IN.
ACT DATES_

Register by January 7, 2005 to take the February 12th test

Register by March 4, 2005 to take the April 9th test

Register by May 6, 2005 to take the June 11th test
You must complete the ACT registration in order to secure a test date. Please register on line or see Jan Young for a registration packet.
SAT’s are also available to take. Packets are in the guidance office.
