• Look at your schedule and make sure that you have English, Government, Economics and a math class if you need.  Also make sure that you have any deficiencies listed as well.

• Log on to www.fastweb.com and get registered for scholarship opportunities and other resources ASAP.
• Make sure you are familiar with our school website:  www.ahs.dcps.org  All senior letters from Mr. Johnson will be posted there under Guidance. Also, go to guidance and get onto to eguidance.com.  There are loads of resources, including ACT/SAT Practice Tests.
• The senior parent meeting will be on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the AHS auditorium.  A letter will be sent out from Mr. Johnson regarding this very important meeting.  Please mark your home calendar with this date!
• The first ACT test date is September 25^th and is not offered in Kentucky.  You would have to go to Indiana to take this one.  Registration deadline for this is 8/20.  The next ACT offered is on October 23^rd and registration deadline is 9/17---mark you calendar & make plans to take this necessary college entrance test (especially if you have not done so already).  Registration packets are in the guidance office window OR you can register online at www.act.org with a credit/debit card.  Reminder:  Enter the AHS high school code- 182033 in order for us to get a score label for your transcript.
