Dear Seniors,
These are just a few scholarship opportunities that I wanted to get out to you due to some fast approaching deadlines. You will find these in the box in the Guidance Office in the corresponding folder.
66. Tom Laswell Rotary Scholarship-$1,000 to an Apollo student, $1,000 to a student that lives in DC, and 7 $1,500 to students living in the western part of Kentucky; due back to Mr. Johnson by 3:15 on Feb. 2.
67. Firestone Tire Scholarship-must be an FFA member and involved in ag, $2,500
68. National City/KHSAA-$1,000 to a student/athlete from our region. One male and one female. This is due in February 25 and requires a nomination from a school official.
69. USA Today All USA Academic Team-$2,500-extensive application
70. A.B. “Happy” Chandler Scholarship-3.0 g.p.a. and a 25 ACT, 500 word essay, $4,000 and due in March 4.
71. Best Buy Scholarship-good grades and outstanding service. What have you done for others? www.BestBuy.com and click on Community Relations.
72. WKU Ogden Scholarship-26 ACT, 3.2 g.p.a. and rank in the top 15% of the class, $500/per semester
