EQUIPMENT OPERATION

This course provides hands-on experience in equipment
and machinery assembly, operation, maintenance, and
repair. Techniques to be used include equipment operation
and maintenance through welding and metal working skills
and painting. Content may be enhanced by appropriate
computer applications. Various field trips may be taken
to enhance classroom instruction. Leadership development
will be provided though FFA. Each student will be expected
to have an agricultural experience program.
AGRI-EMPLOYMENT
2 Semester(s) 1 Credit(s)
Prerequisite: Must also be enrolled in Diversified Agricultural
Careers Co-op. Co-op hour will be arranged through the
Agriculture Teacher and parents. Requirements for co-op
program include the following: Records must be kept
weekly on hours worked, experiences and job skills and
competencies learned. The teacher will visit from time
to time to see if the student is working on the supervised
occupational experience program. Students must maintain
a "C" or better average to stay in the co-op
program. Co-op jobs should be Ag related.
