GENERAL GRAPHIC ARTS 2 Semester(s) 1 Credit(s)
This is a hands-on course of study that provides the student with the basic experiences in the massive area of printing. Students will experience layout and design on the computer using CorelDRAW and PageMaker software. A flat bed color scanner, digital camera, and thousands of clip art files will serve as input to allow students to design and create almost any graphic design. The content will include activities and instruction in the following areas: (1) vinyl sign making, (2) photo screen printing, (3) computer graphics, and (4) web page production. Typical projects include computer generated colored buttons, screen printed t-shirts, hats, printed personalized stationary and personalized sticky note pads.

WEB PAGE DESIGN 2 Semester(s) 1 Credit(s)
This class will provide students with the basics of web-page production. Areas to be covered are organization, planning, content, layout, theme development, image manipulation, image placement, text development and placement. Each student will learn the process of developing a web page, refining the content and posting it for public use. Students will work individually and in groups to make changes to the Apollo Web page on a weekly basis. This can be repeated for credit. (Prerequisite: Programming I, Graphic Arts and Application from the Tech Ed Dept.
