All work will be performed on computers using AutoCAD and AutoDesk Inventor software. Instruction will be in both 2D and 3D drawing. Students, interested in engineering, drafting, architecture, or related fields such as interior design, landscaping, or building trades are encouraged to consider this course.

DRAFTING II 2 Semester(s) 1 Credit(s)
This course is designed to allow the student to explore fields of architecture and engineering. In the architecture portion, students will draw a set of house plans of their own design, which will include floor plans, elevations, details, plot plans, electrical plans, and others. In the engineering portion, areas of study include working drawings, shop processes, part modeling, geometric constrains and actions. All parts will be in 3D. All work will be performed on the computer using AutoCAD and AutoDesk Inventor software. Students interested in becoming architects, engineers, construction technicians, and draftspersons are encouraged to consider this course. Open to all students upon completion of Drafting 1.

PRINCIPLES OF COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY 2 Semester(s) 1 Credit(s)
