On Saturday, December 11, 2004, Apollo High School had their winter formal. In the years past, Apollo has had a football homecoming and a basketball homecoming. But due to the fact that dances were running way to close together they decided on a Black and White Affair in between football and basketball season.

Along with the theme of the dance being a little different, so was the apparel that the students were asked to wear. Girls were supposed to wear some type of black or white dress and guys were to wear black and white dress clothes.

Considering that it was a black and white dance, there was a photographer their that took black and white pictures for the evening.

The student council based the Black and White Affair on the show Laguna Beach. In order to preparefor the dance, the student council dance committe met every Monday for two months. Some of the student council members even decorated for the dance from 9-1 on Saturday morning.

Considering this was the last winter formal for this year, some of the seniors were asked how one of thir last dance experiences went. Senior Whitney Hood said, “I had a great time at the dance with Grant Todd. Before and after the dance we hung out with Kim Gregory, David Colognesi, Kelsey Stewart, and Josh Morris.”

Senior Hanah Marksberry said, “She had an awesome time and thinks it’s sad it could be one of her last dances here at Apollo.”

Senior Ryan Hardesty said, “He had a great time at the dance, but an even better time afterwards with Stan, Morgan, Reid, and JD.
