Scott Peterson Trail: Life or death
by: Amanda Walters
Academic Editior

The jurors decided whether or not Scott Peterson should be put to death or life in prison for the murder of his wife and unborn child. A prosecutor said that Peterson was “the worst kind of monster.”. Another prosecutor said that sticking a needle in someone’s arm is not going to bring back Laci or Connor. During the testimony trial, they showed photos of Laci’s decomposed body that Scott left to rot at the bottom of the San Francisco Bay.

This part of the trial made all the jurors cry. Some could not even stand to look at the horrifying photos. Laci’s mother said that divorce is the answer not murder. She could not help from crying on the stand. This all started December 8, 2002 when Scott got the geographical survey chart for the San Francisco Bay. December 24, 2002 Scott calls her mom to tell her that her daughter is now missing. Laci’s friends opened a volunteer search center. Finally on December 30th Amber Frey called a police tip line and confessed to being Scott Peterson’s mistress.

April 13th 2003 Connor’s remains were washed up to the shore at San Francisco Bay. A day later Laci’s remains were washed three miles away. The diliberation trial continues on December 10th to see what will happen to Scott Peterson. if he is put on death row he will still have to wait a while on the list. he will be put in a cell to him self. Laci was found without her head and arms. Her mother stated that she now had no arms to hold her baby with. The 27 year old would never be a mother. Now two years late,r the final trial is being held. This is to determine whether or not Scott will live or die.
