Warm hearts that warm smiles
by: Emilee Duvall
Business Manager

Cold weather is a given when entering into the later months of the year. With that, warmer clothes are worn by people, which warms hearts that warm smiles. Make sense?
I’m talking about that good ol’ Christmas holiday feeling. Snuggling in sweaters in the chilly air gives a warmer feeling in your heart. Who couldn’t help but smile bigger and friendlier when you see a person oozing with the Christmas spirit?

I stilll remember the days when Santa Clause was my hero. Making cookies and mailing my Christmas list to the north pole was a huge part of my brother’s and my holiday tradition. Of course, we never forgot to leave out some carrots for Santa to give to his reindeer.Comet is my favorite. The year ending causes me to reminisce of my childhood days when college was not a constant worry, jobs didn’t tie anyone down, gossip didn’t exist, and jello made you the happiest little thing in the world.

During the month of December, the world stops and thinks about the important things in life. Whether you like to admit it or not, you probably drifted off in english class and thought about what your life has been, and how you want to change it in the coming year. Even though your New Years resolution will probably fade by January 10th, December is the perfect excuse to be nice to that person that needs a warm beam across your face.

This Christmas, don’t think that because you are older that you don’t have the right to enjoy Christmas like a little kid. I mean, Christmas turned out good for Scrooge, right?
