Dennae Miller, Emma Hunt, and Amanda Walters: Phelan’s Angels

In a world of confused conformity Dennae, Emma, and Amanda cut through the darkness as their unique traits shine bright and bold. From their fun hairstyles to their exciting fashion sense and crazy habits these three are never boring or dull to be around.

Take Emma Hunt. She has widely known tendancies to do the completly unexpected and radical. For example her wild dancing at basketball games, her daredevil gambels that always seem to attract everyone around her, and her other sporadic fanaticisms.
Emma Hunt has a high expectation of life. She wants to attend Jefferson community college and get a nursing degree so she can be a labor and delivery nurse.

She also likes to do fun things after school, like listen to techno, rock, and classical music. Her favorite hang out spots include Palmer’s and Tamarack arcade, where you would most likely find her playing Funky Monkey. One of the things you may not know about Emma is that she has a desire to write. She likes to write about her personal life, poems, and the occasional short story. Contrary to popular opinion, Emma is a deep and thoughful person.

She also likes to go to the mall, the Cage, cruise down Frederica, and her new favorite activity is chilling at Wafflehouse on fridays and saturdays around three in the morning. The thing about Emma is that she lives for the moment and stays true to herself all the while. Things like rules and regulations don’t apply to a woman of Emma’s calibur. It’s no wonder Emma is so widely talked about; her personality is so bright and unforgettable that people just can’t help but become attached to her.

Then there’s Amanda Walters, who is as pretty and ungeneric as most highschool girls strive to be.

Being born on Octo ber 25, 1986, she is a an eccentric Scorpio ruled by the sun and destined to be untamed, successfull, aggressive, and intense throughout her life.
So when she goes to the University of Southern Indiana to major in nursing, you can count on her mastering her courses and rising to the top. Amanda’s ambitions are one of her strongest points.

But before she goes off to college and the real world, she wants to “party like it’s 1999”. Like gambling. She loves to go out every saturday evening and play Texas Holdem, most likely just to lose ten dollars, but still having a blast.

She also loves to go out and party at Chuck E. Cheese’s and play skee-ball. Amanda is young at heart, a quality that makes people love her.

She’s not just all fun and games, though. She has a serious, emotional side and needs the love and companionship of her friends and family. And her three dogs, Smokey, Abbie, and Maggie.

She believes that one of her greatest accomplishments would be her cheering. Though she’s not your average cheerleader, Amanda says she would rather play in the mud than go shopping, and is more of a tom-boy then the rest of her squad.

Unlike Dennae Miller, who said she would definitly go shopping over playing in the mud. When she’s at school her favorite thing to do is harrass Billy Griggs. The boy who she will eternally love. Poor, poor Billy Griggs.

Her fondest memories are of “Latin Land” and the funny things that happened in her cap group. She says that Mrs. Humphrey is the greatest and she admires everything about her. She loves Mrs. Thorpe, too.

When she’s not at school she likes to show off her 91’ Dodge Shadow “The Shadow” black bucket to all her friends whenever she can, actually, she mostly tries to hide it. Her car is kind of scary. She has to dive through the passengers side to get to the drivers side and it’s kind of emmbarrasing to her, not to mention a major hassle. Dennae describes an embarrassing situation.

“ I was at a gas station once and there was this really hot guy that I had been talking too, and I really didn’t want him to see how crappy my car was, because I didn’t want him to think of me as a real big loser or anything.”

In spite of the repulsiveness of her car, Dennae has quite a bit to be proud of. Her journalism conquests are legendary not only for their frankness and for their humor, but for the philisophical musings and intellectual relevance.

Dennae is an active extrovert who doesn’t hide behind others. Dennae speaks up and does so with a vast amount of the charm that makes her so lovable to her peers.
“ I try to be nice to everyone because I hate to see people unhappy because no one accepts them.”

When she isn’t typing a masterpiece or making someone feel good about themself, Dennae enjoys listening to the music of Stevie Wonder, who, in her opinion, is a muscial genius. Clearly, Dennae is a teenager with an old soul, a quality that is as stunning as it is fresh.

She also likes the sounds of Al Green and Patti LaBelle, the original Lady Marmalade. Her interest in the classics goes hand-in-hand with her love for recent R&B artists Alicia Keys and Usher.
Not only is Dennae a young woman with an exceptional taste in music, she also has good taste in movies. More recent movies that have tickled Dennae’s fancy include, Monster, The Pianist, The Terminal, and City of God.

“ I don’t get into teen movies. I only watch movies with good plot structures and good actors to carry the story. I like serious actors such as Sean Connery or Angelina Jolie instead of the ditzy ones like Ben Stiller or Reese Witherspoon. When I watch a movie, I want to get more out of it than just a few catchy jokes. I want life-chaning thoughts to bombard my mind. I want to be reached on an emotional level that these comedies just can’t seem to climb to.”
