Carden, Kidd join Sweet Sixteen

Clayton Carden and Paris Kidd are the next two recepients of the Senior Sweet Sixteen award.
Clayton Carden has been a member of the Chess Club, NHS, Academic Team, and is concert master for Orchesta. His hobbies include being an aspiring songwriter, musician, poet, and philosopher. He is a private violin and guitar teacher. He is involved in the Owensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra, and Owensboro Youth Ministry outside of school.
After graduation, Clayton’s plans to save the world from oppression and injustice, write a good play, and have a daughter named Lily.
What Clayton will remember most is hearing “Have a great day in the Big A.” Mrs. Phelan’s happy dance, Mrs. McDivitt making him smile evey day, listening to music and poetry with Mr. Tony Miller, and having some friends and two nickels torub together.
Paris Kidd has been a member of the Academic Team, Beta Club, and Drama Club.She has also been on the track team for four years where she is currently captain, and Key Club for three years. She is now secetary for Beta Club.
Some of her hobbies include reading mystery books, talking on the phone, dating hot guys, and hanging out with the ladies in the class of 2005.
Paris works at Grandy’s resturant and her plans after graduation are to attend either UK or Georgetown. She wants to major in Biology, and Spanish so she can become a bilingual pediatrician. With this job, she wants to open an office in an underprivileged Spanish speaking country. When asked what Paris will remember most about her four years at Apollo, she responds that she will never forget when Apollo played a home basketball game against Daviess County and a fat kid took of his shirt and ran around the gym.
