Sweet Sixteen named
by: Kim Gregory
Senior Editor

It’s that time again. The next two Senior Sweet Sixteen’s have been selected. Katie Cecil and Christina Stodghill are the next two ladies to receive this prestigious award.

Katie Cecil is involved in: Student Council, FCA, Beta Cub, Yearbook, Council for Exceptional Children, Tennis, Renaissance, Eagle’s Nest Live, Volleyball, and Basketball.
Outside of school activities, Katie was involved with are AVA volleyball League, attending SuperCamp at Stanford University the past two summers, and a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.

After graduation, Katie plans to attend a four-year college and major in elementary education and become a teacher.

When asked what Katie would remember most about Apollo she replied, “The $5 bet at all A lunch at Ryan’s; making it to the State Volleyball Tournament; all the dance moves that I was awesome at; all the good luck notes JEAN Murphy received from Allen; Emilee, Natalie, and I picking up cowboys from the backseat of T.T.’s car; the anonymous Coke cup; all the yummy Mexican nights we’ve had over the years; the Fat Club being established last year; Coach T’s dating service; and lastly, the friendships I’ve had an opportunity to be a part of. They are definitely some of the best.”

Christina Stodghill is involved in: Beta Club, Key Club, National Spanish Honors Society, IB Diploma Program, NHS, Cross Country, Track Team, and FCA. She enjoys jet skiing, water skiing, and snow skiing. She also likes to run, hang out with friends, and eat.
After graduation, she plans to attend either Cumberland College or Campbellsville University, in which she will major in elementary education with a minor in both Spanish and Religion. Then Christina plans to attend Southern Seminary to enable her to teach overseas as a missionary.

When Christina was asked what she would remember most about Apollo she replied, “All of the track and cross country meets and practices; our 4X8 team beating DC at State; procrastinating with the IB girls; crying with the girls every Friday in Mrs. Jarboe’s English class, the parking garage and stuck guy at Swag’s; and all the friends I’ve made along the way.”

Congratulations, ladies, you’ve made us proud.
