Challenger

It was a cold november night and the Apollo Eagales were facing off against Warren Central Apollo was looking forward to this game because they wanted to prove that they could compete with tougher teams in the state.

Apollo, for the past few years, has lost to Warren Central and this year they hoped to change that this season.Apollo had the home field advantage and the crowd on their side.

During the first half , both teams were playing hard and Apollo scored a touchdown Then, Warren Central scored 13 points and lead at the end of the first quarter 13 to 7.
In the second quarter apollo scored 7 more points but Warren Central added 8 which made the score 14 to 21. After halftime Apollo was looking to rebound and take contol of the game.

Apollo came out and scored to tie the game. With new confidence, the defense came on the field but Apollo eventually gave up another touchdown making the score 28-21 at the end of the third.

When the fourth quarter started Apollo was only a touchdown down and intended to keep it that way so they could try to win. During the game it was all defense. Both teams held each other scoreless through the fourth.

At the end of the game Apollo lost 28 to 21. This was a dissapointing end to a great season. The football team had a great season , and is hoping for every student to continue supprt next season.
