On Nov 13th Apollo High School’s booster club held thier annual fall chili supper. Chili was served along with hotdogs, chips, desserts,and a drink. Tickets were bought at five dollars a piece, and all ofthe money made goes to the Apollo booster club. Many tickets were sold and the event was an overall success. Tickets were sold by apollo sports teams and every person involved on a team was supposed to sell five tickets.The event was fun and signifigant for everyone and many exciting events took place.

The Chili supper gave supporters of Apollo sports a chance to support their teams and show them that they care. The chili supper’s main focus was basketball but all of Apollo’s sports teams were recognized. This event gave the school the oppurtunity to congratuate and commend all the fall sports for a great sesson and gave them a hope for seasons to come.

While the meal took place in the cafeteria, many othe exciting things took place in the gym. The girls and boys basketball teams from Burns and College View played scrimmage games and gave our basketball fans a chance to see what to expect in years to come. The current girls and boys basketball teams also scrimaged and showed the fans how our team is going to be this year. This event really got our eagle fans pumped up about our teams this year.

Raffle tickets were also sold as an extra effort to boost the booster clubs pocket book. Things like TV’s, stereos, and DVD players were given away through raffle, as well as many other things. Cheerleeding uniforms as well as basketball jerseys were also sold as another way to allow fans to support our Apollo sports.

The annual fall chili supper was a fantastic event that helped Apollo a great deal and was a huge success. Everyone invloved did a great job in holding and organizing this event and everyone who went would all agree that it went off without a hitch. This event was a great way to punp up the players and the fans about the upcoming basketball season for the Eagles and we hope to see you out supporting our teams.
