Philly-Bob’s corn mazes can be trickier than you think
by: Paul Palmer
Assoc. Entertainment editor

It’s that time of year again. The leaves are turning from greens to oranges and browns. Temperatures are dropping from hot to cool, and an autumnal spirit is in the air. It is at this time of the year that we start to think about things like Halloween costumes, fall break, and methods of entertaining ourselves when the pools have closed and the leaves have fallen.

Luckily for those searching for entertainment this fall, the corn maze is back in business and open to the awaiting public.

From the Audubon Parkway, it is easy to see the sea of corn that is this year’s corn maze. Boasting family fun for everyone, Philly-Bob’s fifteen-acre maze will be open from September the eleventh to November the seventh (weather permitting.) The maze will be open from five o’clock A.M. to nine o’clock P.M. on Mondays, ten o’clock A.M. to nine o’clock P.M. on saturdays, and on Sundays it will be open from one o’clock P.M. to seven o’clock P.M.

As if these activites weren’t enough, there is a multittude of special events which include the John Deere Harvest Day, a Pumpkin Fest, and a Girl Scouts Day. Activities include an interactive corn maze which includes a type of scavenger hunt, hay rides, and a make your own scare crow challenge, easliy making this an entertaining source of fun this fall. Also, there is a chance for schools to tour the area. Admission for children ages four to twelve is four dollars and fifty cents, adults twelve and up cost six dollars, and senior citizens are admitted for five dollars. The hayride costs a dollar and fity cents and the straw maze is only a dollar. This makes family entertainment fun and totally affordable. Not to mention accessible to everyone.

So if you are looking for entertainment this fall and yearn for some excitement, look no further than Philly-Bob’s corn maze, located at fifteen forty-seven Hagan Lane South, Owensboro, Kentucky 42301. Prepare to be a”maze”d.
