Some underclassmen rock!
by:Dennae Miller
Opinions Editor

Sometimes people fail to realize the positive influences that they have on others. Josh Hamilton, Tanna Schroder, Amber Barnes, Courtney Kessler, Kara Askins, Andy Roberts, Reid Rummage, Reggie Wilson, Brandon Cox, Danny Wilbanks, Billy Griggs, Aaron Barnes, Mckenzie Stone, Matt Grey, Brittany Stallings Aliesha Beard, Jessica Means, Collin Horn, Rachael Gentry, Shawna Hester, Erica Meade, Amber Lee, Joni Mattingly, Lindsey Hamilton, Racheal Deweese, Clayton Cardin, Matt Johnson, Sheriese Bone, Mark Boone, Amanda Walters, Zach Hardison, Emma Hunt, Austin Henniger, Tara Dehart, Nathan Cecil, Hannah Marksberry, Michelle Harris, David Colognisi, Ashton Roark, Katie Eason, and Olivia Leonard, have all greatly influenced me. I wish I could write an editorial on each and every one of you in order to express my gratitude for your kindess and since I can not do that I’ll sum up the main traits that you all have in common.

Compassion, charisma, and bold individualism seem to be common practice among these students, not to mention a wonderful sense of humor. My senior class is full of people that rock, and to my suprise, some underclassmen do too.

Until this school year I really didn’t know many underclassmen, but through chorus and Mr. B’s algebra class, I was introduced to some very unique individuals.

First period white day has to be one of the most exciting classes taken during my high school career. Jarred Norris, Susan Kuegal, Michael Sigler, and Michael Muench are detrimental to my grade in that class. Together the serve as a strong caffineated beverage keeping me entertained through stimulating and sometimes strange conversations. No matter how sleepy I may be, they always keep me awake and laughing.

My chorus class is way too much fun. I enjoy it so much that I sometimes forget that it is actually a class; well, until I get a report card sent home. The whole point of joining a choir is to sing, but I definitely laugh more than anything else. With great people like Chris Stodghill, Micah Johnson, Cesley Hamilton, Chris Lee, Wesley Whistle, Sally Funkhouser, and Taiwanna Tutt, who could successfully sit through class straight faced for ninety solid minutes? It’s impossible!

It is the small things that I have noticed about people that have inspired me to write this editorial. Seemingly sublte gestures of kindness are not always taken for granted because I recall at least one story in which the forementioned people have made one of my long strenuous school days brighter.
Some people strive to achieve success in life, and I think these people have already solved a small piece of that puzzle. Through their actions, they have proved to be wise beyond their years.
