Where has all the Code Red gone?
by: Anderw Roberts

Walking through school for the first time since last spring always brings back memories... sitting in class drawing little doodles in the margins of your notes, avoiding homework, fighting off sleep without success. All of this is tolerated for that end of the day bell when you know school is over and you can go home. And usually, as I walked out of class towards the dome I'd pick up a Code Red- a nice refreshing, delicious, completely thirst -quenching Code Red. This year, to my surprise there is not one soda machine on all of our campus that contains my favorite, delectable soft drink.

I know now you are all sitting there in total shock of the simple thought that Code Red has been taken away from us, but it's OK- if we hang together we can make it through this tragedy. I also know that there are a few of you who think that it's not the end of the world. It's easy enough to switch to plain old Mountain Dew, but this will not help you through this dilemma. You can't just replace a soft drink like Code Red with Mountain Dew or any other kind of soda, I've tried.

I make no promises that I will always bring common sense to what I say or write. In fact I can almost guarantee you that I, on the subject of Code Red I will bring nothing but whining from the loss of my favorite soft drink, and complaining that I have to bring Code Red from home. (Yes I bring Code Red from home. That's not weird, that's survival.)
If you are wondering why I might be a raving mad man ranting about soda, well you pick a better topic to rave about when your a raving mad man. Well.....I'm waiting for you to wow me, and knock me off balance with your amazing raving bursts of lunacy that can only be described as insanity. Well since you haven't come up with anything I'll just continue on with my ranting.

Ranting containing- CODE RED!!!! Ok that was just for laughs, I couldn't control myself. But I miss Code Red, I don't know if you have noticed yet but I kinda like that soda. I just think it tastes good and that if everyone tasted it and allowed themselves to truly appreciate it's flavor everyone else in the world will fall in love with it too, or you could careless at all about Code Red and that's cool too.

On a more serious note Code Red isn't an "addiction" for me. I mean I'm not so much "addicted" as much as I can't live without it, that's not a bad thing, is it? But like I was saying Code Red is my coffee in the morning. And I know coffee people can understand what I mean a little more now that I've made that reference. I can't function in the morning without my caffine, and my caffine of choice is Code Red. And since I suffer from two different sleeping disorders, waking up in the morning and becoming alert is a struggle for me. Not to mention caffiene is my best good friend, I mean you wouldn't ask someone to part with there best friend now, would you?

I can still remember a time when school was so innocent. School bullies never truly existed at least from my biography (due to release when my life isn't so dull that I write articles about Code Red). You could do minium amounts of work at home just as long as you did most of it school. You could just sit back and enjoy your favoite....flavored water?

NO, soda is what we want, no one wants flavored water, (my apologies if your a flavored water fan, I'm not saying your liking to drink water is wrong, I'm just saying that it is weird.) I just wish that people would bring back the innocence to school, bring back the unrelenting desire of quenching your overwhelming thirst with an amazing Code Red, that people would bring back the joy and happiness that is a nice refreshing Code Red.
