Stores Bring New Jobs
by: Paul Palmer
Associate News Editor

Within the realm of the average teenager, money is a necessity. Without a pocket full of it, it can be hard to get by. After all, there are clothes to be bought and cars to fill with gasoline for those late-night excursions up and down Frederica Street.

Luckily enough for the job seeking teens, several new stores are making their debuts in Owensboro, making it easy for job hunters to find the perfect occupation for them.
Some of the stores lined up for construction include the addition of a new Wal-Mart, as well as a rumored Kohl’s.

Those who have driven along Frederica might notice that Denny’s is receiving a facelift. Other new restaurants are scheduled for arrival. The Olive Garden, Chick Fil-A, and a Waffle House will also show up some time in the future.

For those of you who don’t care for constructing cheeseburgers in order to make your earnings , there is an abundance of clothing stores that are acquiring some attention. Some are fairly new and thriving, some are soon to be opening.

As most people who go to the mall know, Hot Topic is new and is drawing a considerable amount of customers, as is Pac Sun.

With all of the job opportunities hanging around out there, teens should have no problem finding a job that's right for them.
