Welcome to the family

Apollo High Shool has recently had a huge addition to the school faculty. There were six new teachers that came into Apollo’s Eagle family for the 2004-2005 school year.

These teachers include: Shawn Tomes-Art, Tony Hopper- Business, Leslie McDaniel-English, Micki Clark-English, Rhonda Callaway-Science, and the new P.E. teacher, Gloria Purcell.

Mrs. Gloria Purcell, principal Tom Purcell’s wife, would like to say to the students, “I have been voted into the New York Hall of Fame in three different sports. The moral of the story: If you set your mind on something and try hard, you can accomplish just about anything!”

With such a colorful variety of new teachers working at our school, students are looking forward to seeing what new and fun changes they will bring to their classrooms. The Challenger Staff would like to extend our thanks to the new teachers for joining our Eagle Family. Welcome to the family, we hope you have a fabulous experience at Apollo.
