Caroline Buchanan, daughter of Bill and Vicky Buchanan identified as 2004-2005 National Merit Semifinalists
Caroline is a four-year member of the Apollo Marching Eagles Band, where she serves as president and a section leader. She has been named All-District for three consecutive years and was last year’s recipient of the Directors’ Award and the 110% Award. She is also a four-year member of the Apollo Academic Team, where she competes in quick recall and on the Future Problem Solving Team. Caroline attended the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine at Tulane University in the summer of 2004 and plans to study psychology while in college. Her hobbies include playing the flute and piano. She is a member of the Owensboro Youth Symphony and is assistant pianist at Panther Creek Baptist Church. Caroline has a 3.6 grade point average and is ranked 16th in her senior class.
