Dear 8th Grade Parents,
It’s time to begin the process of selecting courses for next year. The 8th grade scheduling advisement will be on Thursday, February 23 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, February 26 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. We would like ALL incoming 8th grade parents to visit the website at www.ahs.dcps.org and follow instructions for setting an appointment using email.
There will be an informational meeting for parents of incoming 8th graders on Sunday, February 12 at 2 p.m. in the auditorium at Apollo. We encourage ALL 8th grade parents to attend. The International Baccalaureate (IB) Program will be discussed, as well.
On February 10th your child will be visiting Apollo for a tour of the building, information on how to schedule, and to eat lunch. Each student will be pre-paying for their lunch at their current school unless they are on free or reduced lunches.
Students will register using their worksheet online this year by clicking online registrations at the web site www.ahs.dcps.org and following the instructions. We are really excited about this opportunity to use technology. For those students who do not have access to the Internet, the Apollo library will be available before and after school. In addition, counselors can help with Internet scheduling by appointment.
