Team Expectations:
All students are expected to:
- Bring all materials to class.
- Be in class on time.
- Turn in all assigned work.
- Make-up tests/quizzes when absent.
Consequences:
Failure to meet team expectations will result in a DM and or a zero. If a student receives 3DM's the teacher will call the parent or guardian. The next time a DM is given, the student will be sent to the office on referral.
Expectations:
- Teacher - Teachers are expected to: work with other teachers to integrate content across the curriculum, create a positive learning environment, communicate with families in a timely manner, and attend sophomore functions.
- Student - Students are expected to: take responsibility for their own learning and turn in quality work, follow the honor code, be involved in school activities, bring all materials to class, be in their class on time with assignments completed, and to make up tests/quizzes when absent.
- Parent - Parents are expected to be actively involved in student's school life by meeting the teachers, checking student agendas for homework and or/upcoming quizzes and tests or by simply asking what he/she learned at school that day.
Goals of the academy:
- Maintain and improve the academic success of students.
- Integrate content across the curriculum.
- Identify career clusters which are already in place.
- Guide students toward a career cluster of their interest.
