  • The Governor's Scholars Program (GSP) offers a five-week summer residential program for outstanding KY students who have completed their junior year of high school. GSP is designed to provide a challenging and encouraging environment on a campus setting. Students participate in a liberal arts program with a co-curricular and residential life experience at one of three KY universities. The GSP application is available in the guidance office. The GSP selection process is based on your ACT/PSAT scores, GPA, school involvement, community service, awards, and your writing entry. There are helpful hints to completing this application that you will get as well. Please read the "helpful hints" before you complete the application . It's very important that you take the time to complete the GSP application thoroughly & to the best of your ability! The deadline to return the completed GSP application as well as two teacher letter of recommendations to guidance is Thursday, December 1, 2005.
  • There's an opportunity for you to win a $500 college scholarship. Here's how it works: KHEAA will award a $500 scholarship, usable at the KY college of the winner's choice. It goes to the junior who does the best job of telling us why his/her high school is the best in the state. In addition, a KHEAA representative will come to AHS to take pictures for use in KHEAA magazines. Entries must be no longer than 200 words. Mail your essay to KHEAA Publications, P.O.
