November 29, 2005 Welcome back from the Thanksgiving holidays and get ready for Christmas Break!!!!!
Hello seniors,
It seems as if some of the foolish things I have been telling you are now coming true. Foolish things such as-
- Your senior year will fly by quickly and before you know it, it will be Christmas break. HMMM!!!
- Take your ACT or SAT tests early so you can have plenty of time to get your scores sent out to colleges. HMM (and how many of you all are scrambling to sign up for the February test!!!)
- Keep up with your classes and homework because you will stress out at the end when all of it comes due!!! HMMM (this is where the word procrastination hits home).
- Please come in so we can discuss any possible future plan you have. (I am still hoping to see a few more of YOU).
ANYWAY-Thank you to those of you that have allowed me to help you, listen to you, and allow me to give the "I told you so" lecture to. So here are a few more items to remember:
- To enroll in college courses at OCTCS, you must have a 20 in the English section of ACT and a 20 in the Math. If either score is an 18 or 19, you must take a lab course along with the regular class.
- In order to receive financial aid, you cannot have a low grade point average.
- No KEES money will be given to you if you take your ACT or SAT's in June. Apollo must send all ACT/SAT scores for KEES monies in by the end of May.

THESE WORDS ARE FROM ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITE PHILOSOPHIES OF LIFE
OH, THE PLACES YOU'LL GO
YOU HAVE BRAINS IN YOUR HEAD.
YOU HAVE FEET IN YOUR SHOES.
YOU CAN STEER YOURSELF
ANY DIRECTION YOU CHOOSE.
YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN. AND YOU KNOW WHAT YOU KNOW.
AND YOU ARE THE GUY WHO'LL DECIDE WHERE TO GO.
YOU'LL LOOK UP AND DOWN STREETS. LOOK 'EM OVER WITH CARE.
ABOUT SOME YOU WILL SAY, "I DON'T CHOOSE TO GO THERE."
WITH YOUR FEET FULL OF BRAINS AND YOUR SHOES FULL OF FEET,
YOU'RE TOO SMART TO GO DOWN ANY NOT-SO-GOOD STREET .
Please think about these lines because it has to do with goals, life dreams and choices that you will make. Enjoy the rest of 2005 and see me when you need to.
