Letter Number 5 ----Review the ACT/SAT dates from Letter 1!
Next ACT is December 10 and registration must be completed by November 4
Next SAT is December 3 and late registration for this one is until November 9
SAT for January 28 th and the registration must be completed by December 22

#11 -US Bank Internet Scholarship Program. Thirty $1,000 scholarships awarded in a random drawing..no essays, no minimum GPA required. Register online now through February..usbank.com/studentbanking (I do not have any forms for this one).

#12 Dave Latham Memorial Scholarship- Must be actively involved at Apollo High School and volunteer work. A 500 word essay must be submitted -"Why continuing your education is a vital opportunity in one's life".

#13 Murray State University - On November 29 th a scholarship representative will be at Apollo to interview students that are definitely going to attend Murray . Interviews are every 20 minutes. If you are going to attend Murray , you must sign up for this opportunity please. See Jan Young for details.

#14 Wal-Mart Stores has the Sam Walton Community Scholarship. You cannot be a Wal-Mart or SAM'S Club Associate, or is the child or legal dependent of a Wal-Mart or SAM'S Club Associate. Deadline is January 20, 2006. Log onto www.walmartfoundation.org for further information and then long onto www.scholarshipadministrators.net to apply. You must apply on line.

#15 Evansville Area Mensa - This scholarship requires a 550 words essay. The essay will describe the applicant's career or academic goal toward which the scholarship is to provide aid. To receive an official entry form, you must send a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelopes to: Mensa S.W. IN. W. KY Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 473, Vincennes, Indiana 47591

#16 Kentucky Amvets Auxiliary - Deadline is April 8 , 2006 Based on involvement in and out of school, high school transcript and parent income. Look in folder #16 for this application.

Students that really spend time searching for scholarships and completing the requirements are the ones that get the money.
