Welcome to your son/daughter's senior year. All seniors will receive several letters that give information regarding scholarship opportunities, graduation information, workshops available on topics regarding ACT/SAT, career interest inventories, guest speakers, etc. These letters are given to the students in their senior English class and the letters are posted on the Apollo website under guidance. (www.ahs.dcps.org)

The first senior meetine will be Tuesdav. September 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the school auditorium. Information packets will be given to all that attend, so it is important that you call the guidance office and let us know you will attend. Please call Apollo High School at 852-7105, ask for Kristi Tong and give her your son/daughter's name. Individual packets will be made and distributed to you on Seftember 13th. In order to receive a packet, you must call by Monday, September 12th.

If you are unable to attend this meeting and would like to meet with me on another date, please call 852-7105 and the secretary will set up a scheduled meeting. Students are encouraged to meet with me throughout the year as well. Scheduled appointments can be made by the students throughout the day and you are more than welcome to join us.

Just a warning to you regarding the senior year - it goes by extremely fast and before you know it you are sending out graduation announcements. Keep up with what is going on by reading all of my letters to the seniors. You have the ability to access them online, so please help keep your student focused on what they need to do to be successful.
