Audrey Hepburn was born in Belgium on May 4, 1929. Throughout her young life she survived a whooping cough, her parents separation and a Nazi controlled life. During the Nazi invasion she had relatives murdered and delivered secret messages to help the resistance. Audrey had a passion for ballet and went to schooling to further that passion. She dabbled with small movie roles but gained praise for her role in Roman Holiday.In 1955 she won the golden globe for best picture and an oscar for best actress in a leading role. Audrey also received the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award in 1992. Hepburn passed away in January of 1993 and the world will always miss her forever!
