Dating Violence

Dating Violence is a very common issue among many teenagers. There is no excuse for any type of violence especially dating violence. More young women are abused that young men. The young men typically believe that they can "control" their girlfriend. They also believe that if they show sensitivity that they will lose respect of the other male race.

So why does it happen?

Dating Violece happens for many reasons. It can happen because the teenagers are inexperienced in dating and believe they love each other, they may be pressured into it. Those who usually are the assailant may have an anger issue, may have had a rough background or may like to hurt others on purpose.

What are the signs of an assailant?

Exteme Jealousy - Alcohol and Drug Use - Cruelty to animals or children- Controlling behavior - Frequent Questioning - Unpredictable mood swings - Threatens violence - Blames others for problems or feelings - Believes in rigid sex roles - Uses force during arguements - Explosive anger, these and many more signs can be signs of a potential violent person.
