Please complete the following steps: 1. Be sure you have thoroughly read the introduction, objectives, overview, and all tasks before reading any further. If you are unclear on any of the information on those pages, please email me any questions at the address at the top of the page.
2. The next step in the process is to return to the tasks page and proceed with the first set of tasks by clicking on the picture beside expectations. You will select only one of the multiethnic short stories listed on that page and find that story in the book you were provided in class. Read each of the three related tasks on that page before you begin reading because some of the tasks must be started prior to reading. Then read the story and thoroughly complete each task related to it. Please keep all of your answers together and turn them in together when you have completed the entire webquest.
3. After you have finished the tasks on expectations, return to the tasks page and move to the next category, friendships. Follow the same steps with this category as you did with expectations. Repeat this process with the other three categories, dilemmas, connections, and confrontations. You will read a total of 5 multiethnic short stories and complete 15 related tasks related. Please be sure to carefully read each task because they ask you to complete different activities for each category.
4. Upon completion of all individual tasks, you will meet with your assigned group (3 per group) to begin the culminating task of the webquest. This task consists of the following:

Always do your best! |

|
Read the following information carefully in order to successfully complete your webquest! |
|
A. Click on the online resources page of this webquest and select a culture to study and present to the class.
B. Use the link of the culture you have chosen as a starting point and thoroughly research this culture, focusing on, but not limited to, the literary characteristics of the culture, from the origins of the literature to the culture’s contemporary characteristics, authors, and well-known works.
C. Prepare a presentation for the class based upon the findings of your research. Please be creative in your presentations. You are required to include a visual, such as a power point, poster, scrapbook, multicultural skit, or another idea that you decide best fits the culture you have studied. In your presentation, you must refer to the story and author from the short story collection that could be most closely associated with the culture you have researched. Your presentation should be around 10 minutes long.
5. Once you have completed these requirements, you have made it to the end of the webquest. Please click on the evaluation page to see how your presentations and individual tasks will be scored.
