| Making a Multi-image graphic using the Layer Mask filter |
| Step 1. Start a new image using File, New. Determine the finished size of the image you are creating and apply those sizes. |
| Step 2. Open the pictures to use for your multi-image. |
| Step 3. Click on one image with the move tool and drag a copy into your empty document. This will copy the entire image. If you only need a portion of the image, make a selection area of the part of the image you desire, and move it to the other document. |
| Step 4. Click Edit, Free Transform and then place your curser on one of the corners and drag the image smaller while holding down on the Shift key. (The Shift key will force the image to stay proportional in length and width.) When you change it to an appropriate size, let go of the mouse button, then let go of the shift key. Now, click the move button and slide the image to a good location on the screen. |

| Step 5. Drag another image into the workspace and size it as in step 4. |
| Step 6. There are 4 steps to make this process work. 1. Click on the Add Layer Mask button (point 1) then make your foreground black (point 2). Click the Brush tool (point 3) and adjust the brush size to a feathered brush. |
| Step 7. Now, click on an area that you want to erase and slide your mouse around as you watch the image disappear. If too much of the image is erased, just flip the foreground to white and slide over it with the curser and it will re-appear. |
| Step 8. Bring in more pictures and repeat the process. |
