TSA

What is TSA?

TSA stands for Technology Student Association. The mission of the Technology Student Association is to prepare our membership for the challenges of a dynamic world by promoting technological literacy, leadership, and problem solving, resulting in personal growth and opportunity.

Motto

"Learning to live in a Technical World"

Creed

"I believe that Technology Education holds an important place in my life in the technical world. I believe there is a need for the development of good attitudes concerning work, tools, materials, experimentation, and processes of industry. Guided by my teachers, artisans from industry, and my own initiative, I will strive to do my best in making my school, community, state, and nation better places in which to live. I will accept the responsibilities that are mine. I will accept the theories that are supported by proper evidence. I will explore on my own for safer, more effective methods of working and living. I will strive to develop a cooperative attitude and will exercise tact and respect for other individuals. Through the work of my hands and mind, I will express my ideas to the best of my ability. I will make it my goal to do better each day the task before me, and to be steadfast in my belief in my God, and my fellow Americans."

Apollo's TSA

Apollo's TSA has continually surprised everyone with their outstanding performance at TSA competitions. It is truly a unique organization, made possible only by the people in it.

Apollo's TSA sponsors lead the group and provide helpful tips when needed:

imageMr. Yeiser has been at Apollo since 2002, and previously taught at Henderson County High for 1 year. He is involved in Technology Student Association (TSA) and Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP). Mr. Yeiser teaches Drafting I Accelerated, Architectural Drafting, Special Problems, Technology Concepts, and Technology Design. He has a Bachelors degree in Science from Murray State University, a Masters of Education degree from Indiana Wesleyan University, and was rank 1 at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Steven May - TSA Sponsor

imageMr. May started his first year at Apollo in 2007, he previously taught at Calloway County High School for 7 years in the Tech ed department, and he also taught at North Drive Middle School in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He is involved (along with Mr.Yeiser) in Technology Student Association (TSA) and Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP). He teaches Graphic Arts and Webpage design. He has a Masters of Education degree at Murray State University, a Associates Degree in Architecture, and he is Certified in Information Systems.

Of course, Apollo's TSA wouldn't be much without the participation of all its student members and officers.
