Cleaning out your student email box
Here are the steps students should use and the order it should be done in to fix the problem of a mail box that is too full.
*Click on “folders” in the left column so they can see inbox, drafts, sent items, and deleted items.
- First, delete any unwanted emails from the “inbox”, especially emails with large attachments.
- Second, delete email from “drafts” folder.
- Third, delete email from “sent items” folder.
- Fourth, delete items from “deleted items” folder
*Now click on “shortcuts” in the left column.
- Then click on “options”
- Next, scroll down the right side of screen until you see “recover deleted items” at the bottom of the screen.
- Now, click on “view items”
- Highlight and click “permanently delete” items located here.
- Close this box.
- Click on “inbox” in the left column.
The student email should now work, however the “recover deleted items” folder will fill up again and these steps will need to be repeated in the future.
